WOW Word: ANZAC

(1) What is one new thing you learnt about this topic?

That NZ and AU teamed together when at war.

(2) How does ANZAC make you feel and why?

Sad because lots of soldiers died

(3) What will we do to honour all our soldiers on ANZAC Day?

Make paper poppys and say the ode in the morning 

Reflection: I liked learning about all the people in war. I think I could of made my poppy a bit better.

What does ANZAC mean to you?

Unaunahi Mahi Toi

WALT: Do mahi toi Maori and learn Maori design names and meaning.

(1) How did you make this art work?

By coloring it in putting work into it and also
used pencils, a piece of paper and one of Billy's carvings to shade.

(2) What did you like about doing this art?

Designing it.

(3)  What does unaunahi mean?
It depicts fish
scales and represents Maui and his four brothers.

(4) Would you recommend doing sketch shade art and why?

Yes because it's fun and beautiful.

What country are you from?

This carving is made by Billy Harrison. This carving has three different designs which are: Unaunahi Raperape and Haehae.

A Special New Year

(1) Who are the characters in this chapter?
Mrs March , Jo , Amy , Meg , Mr Laurence , Laurie and Beth.

(2) Who is the main character?
The March Family

(3) What is it about?
They get invited to a new years eve party by a rich family. There
 dad was in civil war so they were happy to be invited to a event.

(4) What was my favorite part and why?
Jo and Laurie were talking about Christmas and other things because
they have fun together.

(5) What were the words you didn't understand?
Civil war- Civil war was a war of citizens of the same country.

What is your favorite book?

 

The Red Panda

WALT: Explore the RED part in Mana potential by creating our inner animal in google drawings.

Reflection: It was hard to get all the detail but I really like the plant and the body.

How is your day?

Moana Coding

WALT: Solve problems through code.

Me and my class done an activity called HOUR OF CODE it is a game of coding on scratch. Scratch is a math game when you can create games and code.

Reflection: It was easy to move from level to level but hard to sort all the blocks out.

Have you ever done coding?

Tauranga Bay Camp 2020

So from Monday to Wednesday we were at camp in Tauranga Bay and on the first day we went for a walk up St Pauls known as the head of taratara and then when we got to our camp sight we put all our tents up then late in the afternoon we played protect the flag we found a big log for our base. Then on Tuesday  we had eight rotations:

• Kayaking
• Paddle Boarding
• Photography
• Rippa Rugby
• Kubb
• Beach Cricket
• Scavenger Hunt
• Sand Castles

On Wednesday we went for a walk up mahinepua once we got up there we started walking down and it was as hot as the fourth of July but when we got to the car park we had some lunch and a few people went for a swim but I didn't because I was to tired.

Reflection: I love the collage and the photos but I would change  the background.
